Vaasthu is derived from the sanskrit word vasathi=comfort. It relates to the five elements agni=fire, vaayu=air, vaari=water, prithvi=earth, akash=sky. Vaasthu is the science of arranging the above-mentioned elements in their respective places.
The total Vaasthu Sastra depends on Eight Directions. The lords of those eight directions are called as Asta-Dik-Palakas. They dictate the health, wealth, prosperity, etc. of the inhabitants and the owners. Vaasthu Sastra explains the positioning of amenities of a civil construction including a village or a town or a city or a house or a garden etc. will influence the future of the inhabitants or the owner accordingly. Adequate information and guidance is provided as a treasure in our Vedas to help mankind.
Some simple principles in life:
1. Don’t lie with your head in the west, it brings confusion and miseries.
2. Don’t lie with your head in north, it will bring mental confusion and disease.
3. Lie with your head in the east, your knowledge will increase. |
